Job Summary

The Division Manager builds and leads a diverse team of highly motivated sales professionals. The DM creates and articulates the vision for the division that builds on the vision and objectives of Clovis Oncology. The DM fosters an environment conducive to excellent performance so that appropriate patients might benefit from Clovis products.

Job Responsibilities
  • Hire, lead, and retain a diverse team of experienced, talented oncology sales representatives
  • Meet or exceed all assigned goals including demand, revenue and other key metrics
  • Ensure that the team delivers exceptional value and unparalleled service to our customers
  • Develop and execute business plans that optimize the commercial potential of our products
  • Model and coach excellent selling skills
  • Pull through sales resource utilization
  • Execute field tactical programs and meet budget expectations
  • Partner with Sales Training, Sales Operations, Marketing and other cross-functional teams
  • Work strategically with Account Managers to overcome challenges: analyze team performance, program outcomes and business trends; determine appropriate follow-up actions
  • Organize and lead productive sales meetings
  • Explain and pull through incentive compensation programs
  • Ensure team proficiency with, and appropriate utilization of sales operations systems
  • Regular communications with SLT, management peers, and representatives
  • Ensure good compliance and operating principles are always adhered to

  • Education and Experience
  • BA/BS required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and success within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, and five years in oncology, required
  • Prior sales team leadership and direct management accountability requiredProven track record in achieving/exceeding sales objectivesExperience in recruiting, developing and retaining talented individualsBudget planning and managementProduct launch experience preferredExperience creating and executing business plansAbility to set sales targets, track progress and redirect accordingly

  • Skilled in multiple computer applications, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other custom CRM and field-based tool requiredWorking Conditions

  • Up to 50% travel will be required in some geographies
  • It is preferred that the candidate reside within their territory
