Eastern Standard & Hotel Commonwealth are looking for a Pastry Assistant to join the team.


Eastern Standard is a French Brasserie located in Kenmore Square. The Eastern Standard pastry program is dedicated to French inspired, seasonal desserts featuring the the best ingredients from local New England purveyors. The Hotel Commonwealth is a boutique hotel dedicated to enlightened guest service in a modern, luxurious environment. The Private Event space holds anything from intimate business meetings to grand weddings and galas.


As a pastry assistant you will experience plating during service and prep work in the Eastern Standard kitchen as well as taking on a role in the production kitchen of Private Events in The Hotel Commonwealth. Tasks include but are not limited to making and executing orders for large quantities of confectionaries, cakes, plating desserts during service, as well as other custom creations.

This a great opportunity to work with incredible product and a team that are a step above the rest. Candidates should have a positive attitude, an exceptional work ethic and communication skills.

This is a full time position with a competitive wage ($14-$16/hr) and benefits offered at 90 days of employment.
