Associate Director, HCP Marketing:

My client, a fully integrated, global biopharmaceutical company located in a western Boston suburb, has a diversified commercial product portfolio in CNS. Their pipeline is strong and expanding and includes late-stage drug candidates for the treatments of schizophrenia and major depressive disorder, along with three promising new drug candidates in the areas of multiple sclerosis, pain and oncology.

This company is in an exciting phase of growth with a diversified portfolio of commercial products and an exciting late-stage pipeline. My client is looking for an Associate Director, HCP Marketing to join

their team. This role will be field communications focused.


  • Strong US focused HCP marketing experience
  • Experience working with and supporting the sales force
  • Strong cross-functional team experience
  • CNS experience is a plus
  • Desire and ability to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
  • Boston based or able to relocate to the Boston area not a remote position (relo provided)
  • The Associate Director, HCP Marketing will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the product s healthcare professional marketing activities supporting indications of this product. The position requires a highly motivated individual who is able to work cross-functionally.


  • Participates in the creation, development, and implementation of HCP-focused marketing strategies and plans, key messages; and promotional activities that increase brand awareness and accelerate profitable revenue growth
  • Assist in the development of overall product positioning and core messaging for the product
  • Collaborate with medical affairs, legal, regulatory in developing branded and non-branded promotional material
  • Partner with sales training to ensure optimal communication of the HCP materials and messages to field sales
  • Maintain regular communication with field sales and sales management to better understand current market conditions and needs of the sales teams
  • Provide input and direction to market research while guiding application of insights from customer research studies
  • Maximize value of external partners (ad agency, vendors, etc.) in a cost-effective manner
  • Update and maintain budget responsibility for key marketing activities

  • Bachelor s Degree required
  • 5+ years of US-focused product management experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Market research, sales, or sales training a plus
  • Understanding of the FDA promotional guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Superior organization and administrative skills
  • Ability to work with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the substance abuse market a plus
  • Ability to travel 20-30%
