Applicants must have at least (A) five years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, supervisory or managerial experience in business administration, business management, or public administration and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a managerial capacity.
- Identify, prioritize, plan, and provide an appropriate response for existing and future natural resource management programs and challenges. Oversee, direct, and lead Natural Resource staff's activities in the development, creation, or modification of programs or policies that protect the natural resources under the stewardship of DCR's DWSP. Work closely with the Division Director and Regional Directors to ensure recommended actions are implemented consistently across all watersheds.
- Work with the Division Director and Regional Directors to develop annual work plans that guide resource allocation and staffing; provide quarterly reports that summarize Natural Resource staff's activities and accomplishments; develop and track spending of an annual Natural Resource budget; identify spending priorities.
- Review annual performance of Natural Resource staff; when necessary, fill vacant positions within the Natural Resource section.
