Your work will have real-world impact, and you'll be supported in achieving your career goals.Job Description Responsibilities include:Reporting and analyzing operating expenses including identifying variances to the annual operating plan (AOP) and forecasts.Driving and supporting continuous process improvements for Mgmt. reporting and financial systems (Hyperion).Creating executive summary reporting package, enhanced with value-add charts and graphs, and other analytics.Responsibility for supporting the preparation of finance and business presentations, including monthly and quarterly business reviews.Supporting efforts to build the annual operating plan (AOP).Responsibility for month-end close, forecast activities, headcount reporting and analysis.Supporting ad-hoc internal and corporate financial analysis and reporting requests as required.Lead special projects.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Proficiency in the following areas: financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, technical accounting knowledge, and experience with Hyperion or equivalent financial applications.Advanced MS Excel with knowledge of pivots, charts, and formulas is required.Strong business acumen as well as the ability to make logical assumptions, identify trends, incorporate external and internal information, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines.Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments, has good judgement, and prioritizes projects and time effectively.Willingness to dive into details to find answers and solve problems.Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with individuals and teams from different areas, drive accountability and continuous process improvement in daily activities.The ideal candidate will have a commitment to continuous learning, show career progression and development, and seek opportunities to stretch capabilities.Embodies the Thermo Fisher Scientific values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting role.If you are an individual with a disability who requires reasonable accommodation to complete any part of our application process, click here for further assistance.
